Meet the chef!

My name is Andre and I've worked in a restaurant kitchen for over 10 years and always enjoyed cooking at home. I love cooking foods from many cultures, but Italian cuisine is my specialty. My goal is to make great food that fills people's stomachs and hearts, just as my parents and grand parents cooked for me.

The name Piatto Pulito comes from the Italian saying, "Buon apetito, piatto pulito". This translates to "Enjoy your meal, and clean plate", implying that if you liked your food enough, you would eat every last speck until the plate is clean. My grandparents would always say this to us before meals when we were kids.
